Editorial policy

Principles

• Sources first: we prioritize official channels (City of Rio, Riotur, ICMBio, Tijuca National Park, concessionaires, UNESCO). Encyclopedias and major portals are supporting sources.
• Nothing made up: we do not publish a price, opening time, date or business without a source. When in doubt, we point you to the official channel.
• No fake experiences: we write as an editorial team, without invented first-person accounts.

Prices and dates

Prices appear only when read on an official channel, with the date they were checked. Carnival and New Year’s Eve dates, only with an official source.

Safety

We cover safety with practical information, without alarmism and without stigmatizing neighborhoods or communities.

Photos

We use only freely licensed photos with credit, listed in the photo album. The image of the Christ the Redeemer statue has rights claimed by the Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro; for that reason it appears only from a distance, as part of the landscape.

Translations

Versions in other languages are based on the Portuguese text and are reviewed. Pages without a reviewed translation are not published.

Advertising

Ads and sponsorships are always labeled and do not influence editorial content.
