What the guide is
Rio Brazil Guide is an independent travel guide to the city of Rio de Janeiro, written mainly for foreign visitors and also for Brazilian tourists. Every page tells you when it was updated and where the information comes from, with priority given to official sources.
What the guide is not
It is not an official website of the city, Riotur, Tijuca National Park or the concessionaires that run the attractions. We do not sell tickets.
Our mascot
Tião is a marmoset (sagui), a cousin of the ones that live on Morro da Urca and in the Tijuca Forest, wearing a scarf with the wave pattern of the Copacabana promenade. He pops up with tips all over the site.
